Kitty Heaven
It was exactly one week ago that I took our cat cuddles to the vet to be put to sleep. It was very painful for me to do so. We got cuddles from the humane society about 6 years ago and he was family. He was 9 when we got him and was a very loving kitty.
At the last drs visit we were told he was nearly blind and was losing weight. His fur was all matted and he sometimes had accidents. All those things didn't make it any easier to put him in a taxi and take him to the vet.
We received a nice card from the vet indicating we had done a loving thing, but that didn't help very much.
I like to think of him froliking in kitty heaven with our other cat we had to put to sleep. His name was spook. Perhaps they are sitting around the kitty bowl talking about us now.
This is an example of the whole problem of us loving and caring, in that one has to give up and lose.
I'm told there are cat people and dog people. I'm guessing the people who love dogs wouldn't understand how I feel. Peace.
