The choices are more than we think

I recently saw an interview on television where a young man whose name is Joe Cada was asked how wining 8.5 million dollars had changed his life. The answer, "I don't get to sleep in any more". Interesting. The interviewer thought the answer was different because he replied, "After winning that much money, one would think you could sleep as late as you want". It's true. Young Joe still has the same choices as before. There may more things to do now that he has become a millionaire 8.5 times over, but the choice to sleep in is still available.

It is also true with you. Regardless of what choice you have always made and still would like to make, there are more choices than you think. Perhaps we are limited by our environment, or our family traditions, but there are still more choices than we think. For example, if you believed today was your last day on earth, what choices would you make? Would you choose to tell people who were really important to you, that you really cared about them? Would you take the time to relax, or perhaps do something you had been intending to do for a long time. Remember, the choices are more than we think. Peace.

The Certainty of Uncertanty

Probably before you experienced your "change of life situation" you may have expected your life to stay the same. Maybe you never actually said to yourself, "My life will always be the same", but you assumed as much.

Don't beat yourself up as a result of thinking like that. I think most people go along in life thinking the same thing---until something happens to change their perspective. Or, perhaps they go along enjoying life and not thinking about the certainty of uncertainty.

Now that you are armed with new insight into this world of yours, you are aware of something that many people do not know, or perhaps some choose to ignore. Life changes!

What will you choose to do with this new knowledge and wisdom? That is up to you. However, I do have a suggestion. Treasure the days that you have with the people who really count in your life. Show your appreciation to family and friends and let them know you care about them. Show your appreciation to people who encourage you and are there for you when times are tough. Why should you do these things? Yep, you guessed the answer, because one day that all could (will) change. I'm certain of it! Peace.
